Shao Yen SS15 - Makeup Keyed by Bea Sweet

I keyed the Makeup for Shao Yen SS15, I drew inspiration from Van Gogh's sunflowers and used all Balance Me Beauty Skincare,

Balance Me wrote a beautiful piece on the Makeup which can be found on their website here -

This season natural skincare has been at the heart of many of the London Fashion Week shows, with the 'New Natural' look of glowing, clean skin, appearing all over the catwalks. Balance Me has gained a loyal following by make-up artists in the know and we sponsored the skincare behind the scenes at three London Fashion Week shows;HEMYCAShao Yen and 1205.
Balance Me's PR team Alex and Caroline's final show of London Fashion week was the sublime Shao Yen show at the Granary Building in King’s Cross. Inspired by Vincent Van  Gogh’s masterpieceSunflowers the collection used Shao Yen’s signature experimental textiles and sculptured silhouettes alongside distinctive tie-dye techniques in abstract shapes. It was an elegant take on the sleepwear trend; precisely tailored in leather, silks and cottons, with vibrant shades of yellow, nude, white and blue echoing those in the Van Gogh painting.
To give the models their almost dream-like appearance, lead make-up artist Bea Sweet used Balance Me skincare backstage. Bea explains; “The aim of the show was fresh and natural girls with glowing skin and a delicate yellow lined ‘Van Gogh’ inspired eye.” Detail driven eyes, either with sharp geometric lines or bright colour pops of eyeliner, paired with minimalistic, dewy and illuminated skin where also a key trend at shows such as David KomaMarios SchwabKenzoNarciso Rodriguez and Holly Fulton.

Here are some beautiful behind-the-scenes images taken backstage at the show by Josie Gealer
